As with many places in the nation, Harford County Maryland has it's fair share of short sales, I would like to give a report of the number of short sales in the different areas. Gary and Mary Nelson are specialists with the process and successful completion of selling homes as a short sale, and is based on Harford County Maryland. Lets take a look at the numbers in the area.
Edgewood Maryland leads the short sale numbers with a total of 36 homes listed on this day. The sale price ranges from $30,000 all the way up to $435,000 and includes townhouses, single family homes, and condos. In case you have not been to Edgewood Maryland lately, you may notice two new schools that were recently built.
Second place is Bel Air Maryland in the number of short sales presently available with 31 total homes. Abingdon Maryland has it's share of short sales with 27 homes presently on the market. Overall, Harford County Maryland has a total of 174 homes being sold as a short sale out of 1344 total home sales available at this point.

In keeping with our goals of helping people in need, I want to write about something that will be needed by some in the very near future. Winter is soon to be arriving and people will need to crank up the heat to keep their homes warm. Mary and I work with many people selling their homes as a short sale in Harford County MD, so it is only reasonable to believe that there are many people who cannot pay their utility bills. I was perusing the internet looking for interesting articles and one caught my eye that I felt compelled to write about. If you are having problems paying your utility bills during the winter months, there is a program that may just help.
The link to the program is: http://www.dhr.state.md.us/ohep/down.phpand will give you a ton of information on who is eligible for the program and how and where to apply. One of the programs is called MEAP aka Maryland Energy Assistance Program and will give you information on getting grants for those who qualify to pay their energy bill.
